“Internet Monster is a punchy alt-rock blast from Maybe Bliss—an album where wit, attitude, and gritty guitar work collide with driving rhythms. It leans into the chaos of modern life, channelling it through sharp hooks, playful snark, and tongue-in-cheek defiance.
From the rebellious shout of “I Won’t Do It!” to the off-kilter charm of “Ugly Baby” and the unapologetic swagger of “Messy Gal,” the album brings snarling riffs, bold personality, and a fearless sense of fun. Raw, spirited, and unfiltered, Internet Monster invites listeners to embrace the noise, and turn the volume up.”
This collection was written throughout 2023 and early 2024. In late 2023, I began recording new music for the first time in 40 years—and to say technology has changed would be an understatement. What I could only dream of doing at home decades ago is now possible on my computer. After buying a beginner acoustic guitar in October 2022, I started practising again for the first time in nearly forty years, spending a couple of hours a day relearning basic chords. That steady practice led to the familiar wandering, noodling, and melody-hunting that eventually becomes songwriting for me. Creativity grows with daily discipline, so I keep going. I am, and always will be, a student.
