Modern Crooner began as a small side project and quickly took on a life of its own. A handful of crooner-style melodies popped into my head, and I felt compelled to write them. While I’ve always loved classic crooner music, many of the traditional themes feel corny or dated, so I set out to modernize the subject matter a bit while trying to keep the timeless feel intact. One song led to another, and before long the project had fully formed. And then, just as suddenly as it arrived, it naturally ran its course. The album is rooted in my long-standing love for old films filled with crooning, dancing, and romance—re-imagined through a modern lens. Enjoy!
