Past Mid-Point Update (5 of 8 Albums Released)

First, a big thank you to everyone who has followed me, listened to my music, or watched my work. I truly appreciate it. It’s wonderful to make art, and even more wonderful to know that others connect with it.

I’ve now passed the mid-point in my “eight” album release journey. I always knew releasing seven albums and an EP would be a challenge (and I didn’t even realize As Clouds Go By would end up being an EP until Spotify told me!). Today it really hit me just how many different kinds of challenges this process has involved:

The workload: There is so much that goes into releasing music—far more than I ever imagined.

Time management: Certain tasks only work within specific windows, which means constant juggling to stay on schedule.

Creativity: Making canvases and videos on a regular basis has pushed me to stay inspired even when the deadline clock was ticking.

Technology: This journey has shoved me well outside my comfort zone, learning programs and processes I didn’t even know existed a few months ago.

Administration: The behind-the-scenes work is very real. I’m grateful for my past project-work experience, because that’s exactly what this has felt like.

Now, I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel—and it’s not a train. I’ve learned so much, and I suspect this is only the beginning of another phase in my creative journey. It’s been fun, exhausting at times, but still genuinely fun.

Once these releases are complete, my story—being a wanna-be musician in my younger years, giving it up for life, and returning to it simply because I love making music—may not be spectacular, but it’s mine. And I’m excited to start recording completely new music so I can release that too.

Maybe after a little break in the new year… still three more releases to go!
