DIY and Artistic Philosophy

If you see the name Maybe Bliss, I made it — the music, the art, and the admin. My approach is simple: do the best I can with what I have. My music always reflects the tools and resources available to me at the time. I learn from each project and aim to do a little better with the next one. You only improve by doing.

Like any artist, I sometimes look back and cringe at earlier work — and other times I think, “Hey, that’s pretty good!” But if I never tried, I’d never learn. I prefer moving forward instead of redoing past work; progress comes from creating something new.

If only the administrative side were half as interesting as the music and art…

Some of my art is just for fun. For example, I filmed and photographed translucent semi-precious stones for the canvases and videos for “Good Good Morning” (released Oct 17) and “Ring My Bell” (releasing Nov 7). Sure, AI could generate entire visuals, but I’d rather create them myself. It’s enjoyable — sometimes things turn out great, sometimes not so much. Funny enough, the pieces I’m unsure about are often the ones others like most. And that’s perfectly fine.
