Thick Skin (2025)
This album was originally recorded in 1985 on a home studio 4-track reel-to-reel tape machine. I used a Yamaha MSX computer (like a Commodore 128 but with MIDI), a Juno synthesizer, a basic drum machine, and a Gibson guitar through a small amp with various pedals.
Like the album Clever, the recordings were digitized in the late ’90s in a basic way to preserve the tapes before they degraded. Studio production costs at the time were high, and I had a significant amount of material. With limited resources and family responsibilities, this project was set aside ---- lost and half-forgotten—until 2024, when it was finally brought to life.
