As Clouds Go By 2025

As Clouds Go By
Maybe Bliss, 2025

In late 2023, I bought an 88-key keyboard and began practising. I had played piano and keyboard in my younger years—whenever I could find a real one—and I wanted to reconnect with that part of myself. As I returned to the keys, I found myself exploring small themes, practising recurring ideas, and letting them evolve.

Over that summer, while looking out at my backyard and watching the season quietly fade, these pieces began to form. Each song is a planned theme with a freestyle edge, shaped by intuition as much as intention. They turned out better than I had imagined, and thanks to modern technology, I was able to refine them, editing out anything unintended.
